Talk about the Lawyer Industry from the Perspective of Entrepreneurs

Does the lawyer industry need experts or entrepreneurs? Which is more important?

Are there entrepreneurs in the lawyer industry at the moment?

Before starting, Mr. Liu Guangchao truly restored three different dialogue scenarios between entrepreneurs and lawyers, causing the present guests to have a new understanding on lawyers and entrepreneurs. Mr. Liu pointed out that a lawyer actually "takes full advantage of law with statutory qualification to solve legal and related problems for clients"; while an entrepreneur "can create core values making use of innovation, management and management capabilities without statutory qualification". He indicated that lawyers and entrepreneurs show different characteristics in values, thinking patterns and behavioral habits.

From the perspective of lawyers

Then, Mr. Liu Guangchao, from the perspective of entrepreneurs, conducted in-depth discussions about lawyer and law firm. He also made a comprehensive analysis on the misunderstanding to lawyers by entrepreneurs, and misjudge to entrepreneurs by lawyers. In the end, Mr. Liu Guangchao proposed that the market relationship under equal cooperation, team relationship by common value, and partnership with mutual respect are an excellent new relationship between lawyers and entrepreneurs. In this regard, lawyers and entrepreneurs can achieve win-win under mutual promotion and common progress. What kind of lawyer consumption or service culture should we call for? Mr. Liu Guangchao gave his insights, stating that lawyer service is more an investment than consumption; it has its own cost and can produce benefits; it follows unidirectional development in most cases, but sometimes it could be interactive; it must be formal and could be created. A healthy service culture plays an essential role in enhancing the customer service experience, and strengthening the core competitiveness of lawyers.

From the perspective of law firms

Mr. Liu Guangchao, from the perspective of law firms, proposed that "running a law firm" is the main business or even a career. Those operators not only have the professional qualification, but also thinking, consciousness and ability of entrepreneurs. Mr. Liu reckons that we have numerous outstanding lawyers currently, but are in absence of entrepreneurs in the lawyer industry. Meanwhile, by contrast, he also put forward ten new changes and features of "running a law firm" in the new era, and discussed how to achieve better performance in this connection from the perspective of entrepreneurs. In addition, he holds the opinion that, firstly, the law firm, in the face of a new industry format, should give full play to the role of entrepreneurs, and create the business model and the core competitiveness of the law firm, thus building an excellent brand; secondly, it should perform entrepreneurial responsibility, and pay attention to the industry impact, corporate culture and social responsibility of the law firm; finally, it should reflect the entrepreneurship, create a century-old firm, and solve the problem about sustainable development and inheritance. In the end, Mr. Liu Guangchao also had a discussion with the present guests over cognitive boundary, behavioral boundary and spiritual level of running a law firm.
